Surprise with da name? Well.. so is everyone.. But don’t.. it’s a girl’s name.

Kita da prepare semuanya dari Januari akhir. Mulai ketemuan, terus ngomongin apa aja yang mereka mau n butuhin. Lucky for me, karena mereka cukup sibuk.. tapi mereka cukup toleran dengan waktu. Tiap meeting, bisa 2-3 jam. Da last time -bis TM- malah mpe 5 jam. Jadi semua dibahas tuntas pas meeting, trus PR dikerjain, n komunikasi lewat e-mail.

On “D” day, pagi-pagi ko Ray da complain karena Deny telat bangun -pantesan pas di morning call dia kayak panik gitu-. Terus, karena kurang tidur.. muka ko Ray jadi suntuk banget. Tapi itu ga ngurangin “semangat” supaya acara bisa jalan lancar. Walopun beda adat -ko Ray Menado, Deny Hokkien- n agama, tapi ga ngalangin tuh. Mereka masing-masing toleransi untuk ikutin upara adat yang “kudu ada” menurut keluarga pasangannya.

Malemnya juga ada mis-com lagi sama venue. Ga tau gimana ceritanya, kita ga dikasi pake effect “dry ice” -huu.. padahal itu  yang bikin “suasana” nya-. Padahal kita da confirm ma vendor yang berkepentingan -karena sistem paket, jadi kita ga contact langsung ma venue-. Setelah debat panjang, akhirnya dikasih juga. Ko Ray sih da pasrah aja.. Dia bilang yang penting acaranya jalan lancar n selesai, semua puas… ga pusing lagi deh mo dikasih apa ga itu effect dipake. Yang menyebalkan tu, pas acara mulai n mesin da dinyalain, tiba-tiba entah dari mana datengnya ada petugas yang matiin itu mesin. Padahal buat panasinnya lama banget -butuh 15 menitan-. Kesel luar biasa gue! Tapi apa mau dikata, the show must go on. So, kita terusin tanpa effect dry ice n maksimalin di confetti. Ga enak banget ma ko Ray-Deny. Tapi setelah selesai acara, kita say sorry ma mereka n keluarga, tanggepannya nrimo banget. Malah ko Ricky muji-muji kita. Dooh… jadi ga enak. Kita ga sebagus itu lah.. but we’re doin our best supaya acara ini bisa jadi unforgettable moment buat mereka.

Selesai acara, i sent them an e-postcard untuk ucapan terima kasih. Here it’s..

03 February 2008 (Freddy & Dessy)

Waa… ni acara yang paling bikin panik.

First attack.. i met them on exhibition we joint. Unfortunately, coz they’re in “mature age”.. i miss-perception and thought that they came with their children. Ups! My mistake! -huhu… :’( - I called ci Dessy with “Bu..” (ouch..!) coz when i saw her.. she pointed at her couple.. and i saw him with a young girl looking at the wedding card. Stupid me!

Later.. after a few months they called Li and said they wanna use our service. Phew.. thx GOD.

Second attack.. as usual, i have to ask for the vendor’s detail. But, dunno why.. susaaaaahhh.. banget mintanya. Mo ketemuan susah… Telp susah.. Arrange meeting.. uda bela-belain bolos kerja, eh tiba-tiba dibatalin karena da Bride to be was sick. Ga bisa disalahin sih.. sapa si yang mo sakit tiba-tiba. Terus.. tiba-tiba direschedule tanpa confirm jauh-jauh hari.. (katanya direschedule seminggu lagi, taunya just 2 days after). Hue.. paniklah daku, secara ga mungkin kan madol kerja lagi. Akhirnya, diatur aja.. ijin setengah hari -walopun kudu dapet “muka asem” dari bos-. Bis TM, banyak yang miss juga.. ampe ci Des “emosi” karena merasa ga diperhatiin. Da problem is.. kita ga bikin notulen rapat, tapi rekap isi meeting dalam bentuk booklet acara. N karena datanya lum komplit, so bookletnya lum jadi. Karena lum jadi, so i hadn’t sent to them. Akhirnya after i sent it, mereka agak lega dikit. But.. they replied n bikin perubahan tanpa confirm. Hue.. pusing abis dah. Tapi masi bisa dihandle.

Third attact… da BIG one! BANJIR SEJAKARTA! Huhuhuhuhu… beneran bikin panik kali ni. Karena banjir melanda sejakarta, i had to ‘ngungsi’ secara rumah da terendam n ga mungkin lagi for us to stay. I spent to worst nite.. stuck di tengah malem ga bisa maju or mundur.. kudu terobos banjir.. sampe akhirnya bisa tiba dengan selamat at my sista’s house di Tangerang. Dueeeng… new problems.. gimana dengan my crew? How were we gonna make it untuk handle acara ni? Setelah perdebatan, pergumulan n emosi berkepanjangan.. akhirnya bisa juga.

Lucky venue acara -The Parklane- n akses ke sana ga banjir. Lucky juga karena acaranya itu uda 3 hari setlah banjir pertama. Ko Freddy n Ci Dessy itu pengen konsep acara yang ga terlalu formil, secara tamu mereka juga banyak yang bule. They prefered mingle sepanjang acara aja. Tapi untuk menghormati “adat” so, ada juga waktu salam-salaman dengan tamu seperti biasa.

24 December 2007 (Sudiantoh & Lina)

My first project buat outsider..  I mean, before this event i helped people i’ve known. Yang ni mang temennya Li, but neva know them before. Aseng n Asuang (match name hehehehe) co-operative banget. Biarpun cukup detail n perfeksionis, tapi they trusted us. And ini mempermudah kerja kita banget. Dari dekor mobil, organizing “D” day for the whole day.. I’m really glad that they satisfied.

Ada kejadian yang cukup bikin “panik”.. the B&G Room’s empty. Ga da hiasan or pernak-pernik sama sekali. Bed cover ga ada.. so cuma ada white sheet dari hotel. Hue.. macam mana mo poto kamar coba?! Bagusnya i always checked the day before, so bisa diantisipasi. While my team dekor mobil, i asked the other to buy some rose petals. Buat apa? Yah.. karena ga ada bed cover, so tu rose petal ditabur di atas bed -dibikin heart shape- trus ac kita nyalain mpe pagi supaya ga layu. Not bad lah.. walo sempet diketawain ma videographer. “Kreatif juga kalian” katanya.. Ya iyalah!

Buat acara resepsi juga fine aja.. semua vendor kerja samanya ok, walopun belum perna ketemu. Atas hasil “pembicaraan alot” pas TM, dekor jadi nya ok.. -yang bikin seneng, ada yg bilang,”Selama gue kondangan di sini, ga perna liat tuh dekornya sebagus ini.” Hue.. ga sia-sia ngotot ma si mas dekor. Terus ballerina juga ok, walopun ga bisa jadi opening dance -secara tarian yang disiapin tarian ‘Mickey Mouse’-. Maksa banget lah kalo kudu ditaro untuk opening dance. MC -Wendi- juga co-operative. Trus i learn sumthing new juga.. klo selama ni pake sparkling wine (alias juice) buat champagne pouring.. kali ni kita pake teh. Yup, TEH! di gelasnya ditaro dry ice, so pas dituang ada efek-efek seperti kalo lagi nuang real champagne. Hoho, what an idea.

Kita -again- ga sempet bikin dokumentasi pribadi walopun bawa kamera. Karena mereka tinggal di Bogor, jadi lum sempet ketemu untuk ambil foto-foto yang mo mereka kasi. Though i got the video already. No worries, Asuang sempet sms untuk kasi testimonial buat kita. Here it is..

 

15 September 2007 (Aries & Rieke)

Only a week after da “Big Event” on church, there came another Wedding. This time was Li’s brother’s Wedding. Sebenernya agak-agak keteteran juga, karena kudu nyiapin ‘nikah massal’ di gereja, trus kudu siapin acara ni juga. Tapi karena da biasa, jadi its ok lah.

Ga tau juga why they use our service -karena Li?- heheheh.. ga bisa dipungkiri mang she’s involved in this. Katanya ni kesempetan for us untuk promo. Tapi biar begitu, tetep disiapin sebaik-baiknya koq.

Kita cuma handle “On Event” aja. Meaning, semua hal yang dilakukan di acara resepsi di organize ma kita. Sebelum acara dimulai banyak ini-itu yang bikin pusing. Dari pagi-pagi tiba-tiba Li telp katanya mobil pengantin telat. Terus da whole family telat bis touch-up di salon.. termasuk B&G. Terus -padahal da diwanti-wanti- corsage ortu juga Aries ketinggalan di hotel. Jalanan macet, so yang ngambilin juga telat datengnya. Acara molor semua. Ada kejadian ga enak juga ma beberapa vendor -which i called really unprofessional-, tapi bisa beres sebelum acara mulai. The Bride sempet emosi, tapi i tried to support n cheer her up. Yah.. untungnya di tengah segala kekacauan n kepanikan itu, acara bisa berjalan lancar.

08 September 2007 (GKR Renewal Vow)

hum.. uda lama banget i proposed this event. Sole liat di gereja-gereja lain ada acara kayak gini. Couples yang dulu pas nikah lum diberkati, punya satu kesempatan buat diteguhkan in Christ pernikahannya. Setelah 2 taun, akhirnya terlaksana juga event ini. Karena ni untuk pasangan yang da married, so acara diadakan secara “massal”. Yup, dalam arti rame-rame. Abis, kalo sendiri-sendiri pasti pada malu. Ini aja berbulan-bulan dibuka pendaftaran, setelah “promo” sana-sini ada juga 3 couples yang mendaftar.

Event kali ni agak ribet, secara kita diminta ga cuma urusin ibadahnya aja, tapi ada ramah-tamah bis tu. And budget yg dikasih tu terbatas banget. Uda gitu kita pikirin.. mereka pasti kan ga bakal sewa-sewa yang namanya foto-video so kita kudu nyiapin supaya ada dokumentasi bagus. Lucky for us, a friend of mine mau diminta untuk potretin (pro loh.. ) tapi kita kasi PK aja. trus buat konsumsi, i asked my mom and aunt’s help.. juga kerja keras dari Susy.. a lil help dari ci Jun..jadi juga Cocktail n Pastries juga mini cakes. 

Buat ibadahnya sendiri dibuat agak spesial, ga seperti Holy Matrimony biasanya. So, ada pemutaran clip, Praise n Worship with choir n dance dari anak-anak SM, Youth juga Umum. Well, sebisa mungkin semua bisa ikut terlibat deh. Dekorasi sendiri dibuat untuk 2 rooms, ruang ibadah n ruang ramah-tamah. Hue.. bener-bener kerja keras. Apalagi acaranya hari Sabtu, which.. i was still working that time. Meaning, i was not able to be there at the moment. So i left all.. -percaya aja- to my team. Thx for the great team work, katanya sih semua ok. Kue malah lebih banyak n pada bawa pulang. Too bad, ga ada video buat kenang-kenangan.. bis budgetnya ga ada lagi. Sementara yang ada ga berani -or ga mau?- untuk jadi cameraman.

I’ll post da pic later. Overall… that was my last project for GKR. Sekarang da resign n let the next generation work. Gud luck dear Team, thank you for the great team work we had.

29 July 2007 (Alex & Cai Te)

For Alex n Cai Te, i only arranged the Holy Matrimony. Ga banyak yang kudu disiapin, karena Alex orang  yang minimalis, mereka pake dekor dari luar (using fresh flowers), so kita cuma perlu siapin perlengkapan untuk ibadah Pemberkatan aja. This is da first time i let my team lead the Ceremony. Me only supervising.. Nothing’s hard.. everything’s so easy… except ada sdikit miss pas ibadah.. Veil Cai Te lupa ditutup pas masuk.. terus our Pastor miss one part.. so ada sedikit kepanikan melanda tim musik (which was their first time played on Holy Matrimony). Overall.. semua bae-bae aja. As for me.. bisa agak santai kali ni. Bis ibadah, beres-beres buat kondangan deh..

18 March 2007 (Hardy & Lisna)

A very fast preparation… not more than 2 weeks. In that time i must made their schedules, rundown, also concept for wedding clip. Bener-bener in a rush, sole foto-foto mereka baru dikasi sminggu sebelum “D” day, dalem seminggu kudu beresin smuanya n technical meeting. Lucky for me, i know one of the vendor n MC nya juga co-operative bgt -hi, William… - ada sdikit miss-com dengan PIC Ciputra Hotel, tapi semua bisa jalan dengan baik. Karena kita cuma handle “event”nya aja, jadi ga terlalu ribet-ribet banget. Thx to ci Hilda yang da kasi bunga untuk flower toss -for free!- juga Hardy n Lisna yg setelah dibujuk-bujuk mau juga untuk first dance. “It’s show off time”, that’s what i told them. Waktunya unjuk kemesraan di depan semua orang. It’s your day, afterall..

Stupid me.. karena terlalu “have sum fun”, uda bawa-bawa kamera.. bukannya dokumentasiin acaranya buat portfolio.. malah sibuk poto-poto ndiri. :(

Setelah beberapa project  yang melelahkan karena waktunya yang mepet-mepet.. sambil nyiapin “SUMMER” a friend of mine ask for my help untuk her Bro’s Wedding. Actuallly.. Gus tu kakak kelas di SMP dulu, so no probs lah helping him. :p

Mereka cuma butuh 2 assistants to organize things.. secara yang lainnya da di-handle ma MC -which is also their friend-.. so i asked Her to help me. And as usual.. orang-orang KGB neva miss da camera. So, have no pic of the event.. but we still had some pics of that day..

hue.. my best friend’s wedding..

Didnt help much for the preparation for i was the Maid of Honor (second time for me.. :p) Still on “D” day, many things to do, so i help settled things.. termasuk nenangin the Bride karena ada some mis-com happened. Well.. afterall, acaranya ok koq.

Ow.. penerima tamunya tuh dr my team, trus karena ada acara di tempat lain juga. So we decided untuk kumpul dulu at one place untuk make-up n ganti kostum, trus baru setelah itu some of us pergi on duty. Dont have many pics of the event, tapi seperti biasa.. kita poto-poto lah yaw.. Tugas jalan.. yang penting tetep pose.. heheheh..
